GENERAL MANUFACTURING GUIDELINES
for plastic articles in the vacuum thermoforming process
- Tolerances for shape-related dimensions only in accordance with DIN 2768 T1 c I T2-L; angular dimensions in accordance with DIN 2768-v.
- Tolerances for machining dimensions according to DIN 2768 T1 m I T2-K; angular dimensions according to DIN 2768-c.
- Machining dimensions in direct relation to a shape-related point in accordance with DIN 2768 T1-c and T2-L.
- If possible, zero points are defined in the middle (symmetry axis) of the molded parts in order to keep fluctuations in the processing dimensions in relation to the mold dimensions to a minimum.
Deviations from this can be agreed.
- Information on material thickness refers only to the base material.
- The sides facing away from the mold are dependent on the material flow and can only be maintained to a limited extent.
- To ensure the functionality of the parts, we can be supplied with sample parts to which we can adapt the molded part in the best possible way.
- Color deviations are possible in small nuances depending on the material batch.
If components with very different material stretching are combined, color differences may also occur.
- For negative parts (formed in a “trough”), the internal dimensions depend on the material.
- For positive parts (pulled over a “core”), the external dimensions depend on the material.
These specifications apply to hard plastics such as: PMMA / PS / ABS / PC / PVC hard, etc. PE / PP / soft PVC are excluded.
